"LEED for Homes" Certification Update

We just received news today that our LEED for Homes certification package has been submitted by our Green Rater to our "Provider" Davis Energy Group. Davis will process the submission and, hopefully soon, recommend to the U.S. Green Building Council that we receive Platinum level certification. Normally this process will take about 6-weeks, but we anticipate that our request for expedited processing will provide us our certification sooner than that. We seem fairly secure in achieving the Platinum level as 95 Credit Points are required to do this for our project, and we have 104 Credit Points submitted. Our project is on target to be the second LEED for Homes certification in San Diego. It would have been nice to be the first, but we don't feel so bad about that as our friend Eric Reynolds' project in La Jolla gets that distinction. We think that we shall be having a celebration soon!
